- Legal bases of processing
The processing of personal data requires a legal basis, which we explain below.
Where we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing of personal data, Article 6 (1) (a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis.
Where processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations which are necessary in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract.
Where processing of personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR serves as the legal basis.
Where processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our company or by a third party and where such interests are not overridden by the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR serves as the legal basis. The legitimate interest of our company lies in carrying out our business activities and in the analysis, optimisation and safeguarding of our online offer.
II. Log files, hosting
Within the scope of our legitimate interest in analysis and for security reasons, so‑called “log files” are automatically stored in the server statistics – i.e. data which the browser transmits to us.
These are in detail:
– language and version of the browser software
– operating system used and its interface
– referrer URL (the previously visited page)
– host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
– date and time of the server request
– time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
– content of the request (concrete page)
– amount of data transferred
– access status / HTTP status code.
As a rule, we are not able to attribute these data to specific persons. A combination of this data with other data sources is not carried out. The data are deleted after a statistical evaluation within 7 days. Data whose further retention is required for evidentiary purposes are exempted from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified.
We make use of hosting services. These services serve to provide infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services as well as technical maintenance services in order to maintain the operation of this online offer.
In this context, we and/or our hosting provider process inventory data, contact data, content data, contract data, usage data, meta and communication data of customers, prospects and visitors of this online offer on the basis of our legitimate interests in an efficient and secure provision of this online offer.
III. Contractual processing
The personal data you provide for contractual purposes, e.g. for quotation requests – such as name, address or email address – are used internally only in order to answer your enquiries, process your orders or grant you access to certain contractual information.
IV. Contact
When you contact us by email or via the contact form, the information you provide is stored by us in order to answer your questions. As a rule, data will not be passed on to third parties unless applicable data protection provisions justify a transfer or we are legally obliged to do so. You can revoke any consent given at any time with effect for the future. In the event of revocation, your data will be deleted immediately, unless there is a statutory exception permitting further processing. Otherwise, your data will be deleted when we have dealt with your enquiry or the purpose of storage no longer applies and no other statutory exceptions to deletion exist. You can obtain information at any time about the personal data stored about you.

VII. Transfer of data to third parties
We transfer data to third parties where this is necessary for the performance of the contract and/or where we are legally obliged and/or entitled to do so in individual cases.
Use of PayPal as a payment method
If you choose payment via the online payment service provider PayPal during the order process, your contact data are transmitted to PayPal through the order that is triggered. PayPal is a service of PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. & Cie. S.C.A., 22‑24 Boulevard Royal, L‑2449 Luxembourg. PayPal acts as an online payment service provider and trustee and offers buyer protection services.
The personal data transmitted to PayPal are usually data required for order processing as well as data related to the order, such as number of items, item number and invoice amount. This transmission is necessary to process your order with the payment method you have chosen, in particular to confirm your identity, to administer your payment and the customer relationship.
Depending on the payment method selected via PayPal, e.g. invoice or direct debit, the personal data transmitted to PayPal may be passed on by PayPal to credit reference agencies. This transmission serves to verify identity and creditworthiness in relation to the order you have placed. Which credit reference agencies are involved and which data PayPal generally collects, processes, stores and passes on can be found in PayPal’s privacy policy at https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
Use of Sofortüberweisung as a payment method
If, during the order process, you decide to pay using the online payment service provider Sofortüberweisung, your contact data will be transmitted to Sofortüberweisung, a service of SOFORT GmbH, Theresienhöhe 12, 80339 Munich, Germany, as part of the order that is triggered. Sofortüberweisung acts as an online payment service provider that enables cashless payment for products and services on the Internet. The personal data transmitted to Sofortüberweisung usually include first name, last name, address, telephone number, IP address, email address or other data required for order processing as well as data related to the order. This transmission is necessary to process your order with the payment method you have chosen, in particular to confirm your identity, to administer your payment and the customer relationship.
Please note: Personal data may also be passed on by Sofortüberweisung to service providers, subcontractors or other affiliated companies, insofar as this is necessary to fulfil the contractual obligations from your order or if the personal data are to be processed on behalf of Sofortüberweisung. In certain circumstances, the personal data transmitted to Sofortüberweisung may be passed on by Sofortüberweisung to credit reference agencies. This transmission serves to verify identity and creditworthiness in relation to the order you have placed.
Which data protection principles Sofortüberweisung applies when processing your data can be found in the data protection information that Sofortüberweisung presents to you during the payment process.
In part, we make use of external service providers within the scope of our legitimate interests in analysis, optimisation and economic operation of the online offer. This always presupposes that the third‑party providers of these contents perceive the IP address of the users, since without the IP address they could not send the contents to the browser of the users. The IP address is therefore required for the display of these contents. Third‑party providers may also use so‑called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also called “web beacons”) for statistical or marketing purposes. “Pixel tags” can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on the user’s device and may contain, among other things, technical information similar to the log files. Below we list our service providers.
If your data are to be used for other purposes, we will inform you in advance and will use the data only if you have explicitly given your consent beforehand.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
We point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” and therefore IP addresses are shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission, in order to exclude any direct personal reference. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the provider, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities for the website operators and to provide other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the data on Google’s behalf. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other data held by Google.

In addition, the data automatically sent by your browser, such as your IP address, are transmitted to Google Maps in the USA and stored there. The provider may store this data as usage profiles and use it for advertising and market research purposes. If you are logged in to Google at the same time, these data are directly assigned to your account. If you do not wish this allocation to your profile, you must log out before activating the button. By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of the automatically collected data and the data entered by you by Google, one of its representatives or third‑party providers. We point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or their use by Google. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to YouTube servers, potentially also in the USA, and stored there. Your IP address cannot be assigned if you are not logged in to YouTube or another Google service before calling up the page or if you are not permanently logged in. If you do not wish this, you must log out of your YouTube account and your other Google accounts.
We receive statistical values about the retrieval of individual videos embedded in the website through YouTube cookies, without reference to the respective user. The embedded YouTube videos are used within the scope of the permitted use by YouTube, which all users must accept. If you see any copyright infringements, please report this directly to YouTube.
We use embedded YouTube videos in extended data protection mode. This means that YouTube does not store cookies for a user who displays a website with an embedded YouTube video player but does not click on the video to start playback. If the YouTube video player is clicked, YouTube may store cookies on the user’s computer. We point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or their use by YouTube. If you have given consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. The lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal remains unaffected. You can object to the future processing of your personal data at any time in accordance with the statutory provisions. The objection may in particular be made against processing for direct marketing purposes.

We store personal data for the duration of the respective statutory retention period and/or as long as the purpose of collection exists. After the retention period has expired, the data are routinely deleted, unless there is a necessity for further storage for the initiation or performance of a contract. If user data are not deleted because they are required for other and legally permissible purposes, their processing is restricted as far as possible. The data are accordingly blocked as far as possible and not processed for other purposes. This applies, for example, to user data that must be retained for commercial or tax law reasons.
